Project description: In the framework of the project a detailed development of the automobile generator's structure was performed, 3D parametric models of parts and the component assemblage were created. Moreover, the technical documentation package was developed: assembly drawing, bill of materials, draft drawings of parts (selectively). Dimensions were measured directly using the parts of the disassembled generator.
The standard elements of the Russian industry do not fit exactly Japanese parts - bearings, nuts, bolts, and studs. As a consequence, it was necessary to change several dimensions in the internal database of the given bearings and bolts. Animation of the generator with the help of built-in capabilities of T-FLEX CAD with a recording of the corresponding video-file was performed. The 3D assembly consists of 183 bodies, and several of the bodies have quite complicated geometry.
