Project Description
The project presents a universal 3D model of the worm groove processing by method of progressive passes. With this model you can get CNC control programs for worm gears with any ZT2-shape profile, which requires only changes in the appropriate settings. It can also be easily adapted to any other kind of worms or other CNC systems. For its development the authors have spent not more than 2 hours, except for the time on learning programming the CNC and normative documents on the geometry of the worms.
