Import from IFC

When importing IFC models, you can customize following parameters:

30_IFC

Representation

This group of parameters defines the type of 3D geometry to be created in T-FLEX CAD during import. If the Create Operations checkbox is disabled, 3D geometry won't be imported. If the checkbox is enabled, you can select one of the following types of geometry:

Solids
Geometry will be imported as External Model, if possible. Otherwise, mesh geometry is used.

Mesh Geometry
Geometry will be imported as 3D Picture, if possible. Otherwise, solids are used.

T-FLEX CAD Operations
Geometry will be imported as T-FLEX CAD 3D modeling operations, if possible. Otherwise, mesh geometry or solids are used, depending on the type of source data. This option is the most resource-intensive, so the import will be slower than with other types of geometry, but the resulting model will be the most convenient for subsequent editing in T-FLEX CAD.

Import Model Structure

If this checkbox is enabled, structure of model will be imported as structural elements.

Import system and user attributes

If this checkbox is enabled, imported structural elements will have same system and user attributes, as in the source file. This option is available, only if the model structure import is enabled.

Create variables by attributes

If this checkbox is enabled, the system will create variables corresponding to imported system and user attributes. This option is available, only if the attributes import is enabled.

Default Units

Units of measurement for those elements of the imported geometry, whose units are not specified in the source file.
