Keyboard

Textual Menu

<Ctrl>+<F>

If the icon of the command is highlighted, then the InputType2 free drawing mode is enabled, otherwise InputType1 connected drawing mode is enabled. Also, there are the drawing mode switching options in the automenu of commands affected by drawing modes.

InputType1Connected (parametric) drawing mode

Connected drawing is the main mode for building a parametric model. In connected drawing mode, nodes are created only at the intersection of two construction lines.

InputType2 Free (non-parametric) drawing mode

Free drawing is an auxiliary drawing mode. Freehand nodes will be created at the absolute coordinates where the cursor is, not at the intersection of construction lines.

It is recommended to use the connected drawing mode and avoid combining both modes within the same drawing. The latter can lead to errors upon parametrical recalculation of the drawing.
