Specifying the new type of the welded seam is carried out with the help of the special command:
Icon |
Ribbon |
---|---|
Assembly > Assembly > Weld > Weld Type Weld > Weld > Weld Type |
|
Keyboard |
Textual Menu |
|
Tools > Weld > Weld Type |
In addition, the command to create a new type of seam can be called directly from the command to create a weld.
In the command's dialog, you can specify:
•Name of weld type (specified in the input box below the standard drop-down list)
•Weld Pitch and Weld Length (for intermittent welds)
Leg cannot be set in weld type parameters, but can be set individually for a particular weld.
a - Leg
b - Weld Pitch
с - Weld Length
Weld Type Number is assigned automatically. Continuous ascending numbering is used by default (1, 2, 3 and so on). Continuity of numbering might be broken, if you delete some of the existing weld types. In such case, use the Renumber Weld Types command for automatic renumbering. It is available in the contextual menu, which can be invoked by pressing in empty space of the Welds window.
