Elements can be selected in a drawing window or in an active workplane, only if filters of their types are enabled. Filters are displayed either in the filter toolbar or in the system toolbar. Active filters are highlighted in blue color. Click a filter's icon to activate or deactivate it. Following filters are available in the command standby mode:

Upon launching drawing detailing elements and drawing views creation commands, the set of available filters changes, depending on which types of elements can be used in the current command. In such case some of the filters listed above may be unavailable. Upon launching 2D constructs and graphic lines creation commands, filters of elements type are non-available, whereas the selection is managed only via 2D snappings.
