Fixed Angle

The constraint can be applied to straight line segments and ellipses. The constraint fixes the angle of a segment or the angle of the ellipse axis relative to the coordinate system of the current view. If the angle needs to be changed, remove the constraint, change the angle and fix it again.

If this constraint is applied to an ellipse, then, upon editing the ellipse, you won't be able to edit lengths of its axes in such way, that the axis, which were major one at the moment of constraint's creation, would become the minor one.

In the mode of selecting objects of constraint, you can specify multiple lines. Then upon completion of the input, the number of constraints equal to the number of selected lines will be created.

Icon of constraint is displayed near midpoint of constrained object.

Example

Segment Angle Fixation

A segment is given. Fix its angle relative to the coordinate system of the drawing. To do this, select the Fixed angle constraint in the Ribbon and select the segment using mouse left. When the creation of the constraint is complete AutomenuOk1, an icon appears next to the segment. Before we try to edit a segment, let's fix its bottom point — the effect of the constraints will be more obvious. To do this, in the Ribbon, select the Fix constraint and select the segment point.

Now we will try to change the geometry of the segment by moving the free top point. With the help of mouse left choose the segment, then the top point . Now the segment's point follows the cursor. Even if we move the cursor to the right or left, the point will only move along the straight line on which the segment lies. Restricting the angle fixation does not allow the segment to change the angle.
