Create Report/BOM

Calling the command:

The command is used to create report or a BOM for the current assembly drawing. The command's dialog consists of two tabs corresponding to two available methods of report/BOM creation:

•Report/BOM List (report/BOM by template)
This method is used by default.

Upon updating a report created by template, any elements added manually to report pages are deleted automatically, except elements added by editing report table and title block. Changes made by editing report table, are kept or discarded, depending on the method of editing, kind of changes and parameters specified, when creating the report (see the Edit Report/BOM section).

•BOM by Template (BOM by prototype)
This method corresponds to the legacy mechanism.

You can also initiate new report/BOM creation using following methods:

•Using the Create report based on product composition button in the toolbar of the Product Composition window.
When using this method, the short version of the command's dialog is invoked. In this version, you can not create a BOM by template. The selection of product composition is not available - the report is created by the composition currently displayed in the Product Composition window.

•By selecting the desired report template in the Reports section of contextual menu of product composition record.
In such case, the report gets created instantly, so you can’t change its parameters before creation. Report parameters are inherited from the product composition parameters.
