Following parameters of a generator selected in the list can be set in the lower right section of the Reports tab of the Parameters20x20 Product Composition Parameters and PCTypes20x20 Product Composition Types windows.

Location:

In new document
When creating a report, the system automatically creates a new document, using the name specified in the Report File box of the report parameters, and places a report table in pages of such document.

On new page
When creating a report, the system automatically creates new pages in the current document and places there a report table.

On existing page
When creating a report, it is either placed automatically on the current page (if the Automatic snap option is enabled), or you have to specify its position manually in any page of the current document.

Name format for new pages

This option is available for location On new page. In general case name format for new pages looks like: “BOM name” {#o} Page {#p}

For each page:

{#o} – will be replaced by the sequence number of the BOM of the current type.

{#p} – will be replaced by the sequence number of the BOM page.

Automatic snap

This option is available for location On existing page. Enabling the checkbox activates mode of automatic snap of the report table to the two predefined nodes named “BOM1”, “BOM2” that define table position (upper left and bottom right points).

Names can be assigned to nodes in node edition command.

The snap requires that both named nodes exist on the same page. Standard title blocks already contain these nodes by default.

If the nodes are not found on the current page, system displays warning message and allows you to specify the table placement manually.

You need to specify placement of the top left corner of the table.

Minimize Text Rectangle

This option is available for location On existing page without Automatic snap. It allows the system to automatically adjust the height of the bounding rectangle of the report table, depending on the number of rows.

Edited Template

If this checkbox is enabled and the report is located On existing page, you can use the EditReportTemplate20x20 Edit Report Template command. Otherwise, changes made using this command won't be saved. If the report is located On new page or In new document, such changes won't be saved, regardless of the checkbox status. Enabling this checkbox makes the Initialize with Visible Columns option available below.

Initialize with Visible Columns

This option is available, if the Edited Template checkbox is enabled above. This option is supposed to be used for templates, whose content may automatically change, depending on the included data. Such templates are created in accordance with specific rules described in the Report Template with Variable Set of Columns section. For instance, when creating a variations table, the template may contain different sets of columns, depending on which variables you want to include into the report. When using this option, all visible columns of corresponding product composition are automatically included into report, except service columns.

Keep manually changed texts

If this checkbox is enabled, editing of table cells content in drawing manually makes such cells lose the link with the corresponding product composition cells and always keep the manually edited values. If you disable this checkbox, manually edited values will be replaced by the data from product composition, upon updating the table.

Add Product Composition Records

If the selected report template contains product composition records, such records can be added into the current document, when creating a report. This feature can be used, for example, in order to list reports in product composition. Records added from report template are being deleted, when deleting the report. The drop-down list of this parameter provides following options:

If there are some records in the template, then, upon creating a report, the dialog will pop-up, asking whether you want to Add product composition records from report template into current document.

Records from template will never be added.
